PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE My late mother, Mary Fraley, left a book of quotations called "Respectfully Quoted" A favorite of mine is the prayer offered by Peter Marshal, the Senate Chaplin, at the opening of a session on March 10, 1948. "Let us not be content to wait and see what will happen but give us the determination to make the right things happen." The Pasadena Business Association is made up of individuals who do just that - they are doers, not waiting for others to act. Our members continually give of their time, money and energy. They are the fiber that holds together the PBA and their actions have a rippling effect on the entire community. Dozens of Pasadena High School Seniors have shared in over $50,000.00 worth of scholarships. This money is raised through the PBA's annual March fundraiser and the sale of its two award-winning and Anne Arundel County - accredited history books, "Between Two Rivers," and "The Pasadena Peninsula." both by Isabel Shipley Cunningham. While Pasadena Children look forward each year to our Annual Thanksgiving Parade the first Sunday of November, needy families have been fed, clothed and their youngsters given gifts through food collected that day as well as our PBA's Caring and Sharing project. Monthly meetings provide education for our members, a forum for elected officials and a tremendous networking opportunity. The public is always welcome to attend the meetings as well as the PBA Crab Feast, the Golf Tournament, the Trade Show and especially the Scholarship Fundraiser. It is an honor to serve the Pasadena Business Association as your president. Please come and join us. God Bless Brenda Fraley Hodgson |
